Carlingford Childcare and Preschool Centre

Golden Seeds Early Learning, Carlingford is our newest early childhood service, opened in July 2023.

We pride ourselves on our warm, inviting “home away from home” learning environments. As an 81-place long day care centre, we offer large, open, and natural play spaces that foster children’s curiosity, interests, and sense of independence.

We provide a high-quality learning curriculum that emphasises community relationships, and partnerships with families, and fosters each child’s sense of agency and curiosity to learn.

Our Carlingford childcare facilities feature four large, well-lit rooms with natural light:

  • Nursery: Ages 6 weeks to 2 years
  • Toddlers: Ages 2 to 3 years
  • Junior Preschool: Ages 3 to 4 years
  • Preschoolers: Ages 4 to 6 years

Additionally, we have two large outdoor environments:

  • One for Nursery and Toddler children
  • A separate outdoor learning environment for children aged 3 to 6 years

Both spaces encourage children to build on their sense of wonder about the world and explore how it works. Our community vegetable gardens, herb gardens, large sandpits, and abundant open-ended and natural materials invite children to engage in hands-on exploration.

Our Environments

At Golden Seeds, our environments play an important role for our children. We consider them an extension of their home, “a home away from home”. Our professional team is dedicated to creating beautiful, inviting, and aesthetically pleasing spaces for your children to explore.

We use natural materials, soft colours and open spaces created to promote a sense of calm for our children. Our environments are adaptable and flexible, ensuring the needs and interests of children are met. In addition, our furniture and materials are arranged to encourage exploration, collaboration and creativity.

Menu/Nutrition

At Golden Seeds, we believe in the importance of providing nutritious meals that support the health and well-being of growing children. Our dedicated chefs carefully plan and prepare meals that are not only delicious but also balanced and nourishing.

We understand that each child is unique, with their own dietary needs and preferences. That’s why we offer a variety of wholesome foods and accommodate special dietary requirements, including allergies and cultural considerations. Our menus are thoughtfully crafted to include a diverse selection of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and dairy products, ensuring that children receive the essential nutrients they need to thrive.

In addition to serving nutritious meals, we prioritise teaching children about the importance of healthy eating habits. Through engaging activities and discussions, we encourage children to explore new foods, make mindful choices, and develop a positive relationship with food.
